Solar cables are a critical component in any photovoltaic (PV) power system, designed to connect solar panels and other major components efficiently and safely. ZD Cable solar cables are engineered for long-term performance in demanding outdoor environments — robust resistance to UV radiation, extreme temperatures, ozone, and harsh weather, with a service life rated for 25 years or more so the cabling matches the design life of the modules it interconnects.
Our product range includes specialized cables that meet the highest international standards for safety and reliability. For PV power systems built to European specifications, ZD Cable offers the H1Z2Z2-K cable — flexible tinned copper conductors with double insulation of cross-linked polyolefin (XLPO), rated 1.5/1.5 kV DC with a permissible conductor temperature of 120 °C, certified to EN 50618. We also manufacture the proven PV1-F cable, which features tinned copper conductors with halogen-free, cross-linked insulation and sheath rated 1.8 kV DC, built to 2 PfG 1169/08 — the TÜV requirement that pre-dated EN 50618 and is still widely specified for global PV projects.
Both cables are halogen-free, flame-retardant, and rated from −40 °C to +120 °C; flexible class-5 tinned copper conductors resist oxidation and ease termination at MC4 connectors. Every drum is built to order for utility-scale solar farms, EPC contractors, and government renewable-energy programs, and ships with CNAS test reports on request.
