This code of conduct defines ZD CABLE’s ethical principles and supplier requirements, guiding all business activities

As a major employer in the region and a global company, ZD CABLE recognizes its responsibility for people and the environment. We have defined the following principles for action, and these principles also serve as a guideline for our suppliers. Human rights, environmental protection, labor standards, and the fight against corruption have always played an important role at ZD CABLE. We practice these values clearly toward our employees, business partners, and the general public.

This code establishes ethical business practices as our standard, protecting our reputation while creating sustainable value for customers and partners. It sets the standard in this area and assists us in implementing these principles in practice.

The code is based on three principles:

Laws, Rules and Regulations

Compliance with Laws

Every employee at ZD CABLE must comply with all applicable laws and regulations in their environment, as well as with internal instructions.

International Business

ZD CABLE maintains full compliance with all applicable domestic and international laws in every market we operate. As both suppliers and customers in global transactions, we proactively research and adhere to local regulations, with particular emphasis on antitrust and competition laws.

Bribery and Corruption

ZD CABLE strictly prohibits bribery and all forms of improper influence. While we allow reasonable business courtesies that follow normal practices, these must never affect decisions. We refuse to use bribes or illegal agreements to win contracts – we’d rather lose business than break the law. Violations will lead to disciplinary action. All employees, especially managers, must understand how serious corruption risks are for both the company and themselves. Everyone is responsible for following these rules in their daily work.

Money Laundering Prevention

ZD CABLE strictly complies with all anti-money laundering (AML) laws and prohibits any involvement in money laundering activities. All employees must report suspicious financial transactions—especially cash payments—to the Finance Department for review when in doubt.

In ZD CABLE, all business decisions must serve the company’s best interests. Employees must avoid any conflicts of interest involving personal, family, or outside business matters.If such conflicts occur, they must be resolved in accordance with applicable laws, orders, and corporate guidelines. The prerequisite for this resolution is the transparent disclosure of the conflict.

Confidentiality of Customer Data

ZD CABLE applies the highest standards of information security to keep customers’ information secure and to use it only for agreed purposes. ZD CABLE ensures that customers’ data remains confidential and that their statutory data protection rights are respected. ZD Cable implements strict standards and procedures to prevent data manipulation, theft, unauthorized access, loss, or destruction.

Conflict Metals

ZD CABLE has received written statements from suppliers confirming that products delivered to ZD CABLE do not contain conflict metals, such as tin, mined in the Democratic Republic of the Congo or its neighboring states.

Global Automotive Declarable Substance List

ZD CABLE adheres to the Global Automotive Declarable Substance List (GADSL), which identifies substances used in automotive parts throughout their lifecycle. ZD CABLE maintains permanent contact with material suppliers regarding GADSL substances and obtains corresponding material declarations for declarable or prohibited substances. ZD CABLE provides this information upon request to support compliance and trade practices.

Filling the Code with Life

ZD CABLE, as a Chinese outward trade enterprise, actively promotes the communication of the guidelines in its code of conduct to support ethical global operations. ZD CABLE’s individual companies ensure the implementation of these guidelines and protect employees from disadvantages due to adherence to them. ZD CABLE’s executives serve as role models and handle their actions according to the code of conduct. They act as the first points of contact for questions about the regulations and make sure that all employees know and understand the code of conduct. As part of their duties, executives prevent unacceptable behavior and implement measures to stop rule violations in their areas of responsibility. Good cooperation based on trust between employees and management promotes honest information sharing and mutual support.
