Spaced Aerial Cable is designed for distributing electrical energy in overhead installations. It features stranded, compressed aluminum conductors with a black semi-conducting shield. The cable uses strong insulation made of thermoplastic polyethylene (PE) or cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE), which is resistant to weather and UV sunlight. They are rated for normal service temperatures of 75°C or 90°C and must be installed on insulators or spacers.
