Thermal-resistant Aluminum Alloy Conductor, Steel Reinforced (TACSR) is a conductor that can carry a high amount of electricity. It is made with an inner core of steel wire and an outer layer of round, thermal-resistant aluminum alloy wires.
It is used for overhead transmission lines, ground lines, and electric railways. Due to its clear advantages, such as being anti-corrosion and having high strength, it is applicable for long-span lines. It is also suitable for severe cold zones with heavy snow and other bad weather, in addition to general transmission lines. It is used for power plants and for power transmission and distribution lines with voltages from 1 kV up to 750 kV, especially in routes that need more capacity or for transforming old lines.
The product is manufactured in compliance with the following international standards:
- IEC 61089 Round Wire Concentric Lay Overhead Electrical Stranded Conductors
- IEC 62004 Thermal-Resistant Aluminum Alloy Wires for Overhead Line Conductor
- NB/T 42060 Thermal-Resistant Aluminum Alloy Conductors, Steel Core Reinforced for Overhead Transmission Line
