Application
Our THHN/THWN wire is ideal for general purpose wiring in a variety of settings, making it a go-to choice for electrical contractors and builders. It is suitable for installation in conduits and other recognized raceways, providing a secure pathway for electrical currents. This wire excels in both dry and wet environments, offering reliable operation wherever your project takes you. You’ll find ZD Cable’s THHN/THWN wire widely used in residential buildings, commercial establishments, and factory spaces. It’s perfectly suited for powering lighting circuits, various branch circuits, and critical control wiring. Moreover, it serves effectively in wiring machine tools and appliances, provided the circuit voltage does not exceed 600 volts.
Description
The THHN/THWN building wire is meticulously constructed for lasting quality and dependable service:
- Conductor: At its core, the wire features high-quality, soft-drawn copper conductors. Depending on the specific size, these conductors are available with various stranding configurations, including combination-unilay or compressed copper stranding, ensuring optimal conductivity and flexibility.
- Insulation: Each conductor is enveloped in a tough, heat and moisture resistant Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) insulation. This thermoplastic material is not only affordable but also provides excellent flexibility, simplifying the installation process.
- Jacket: An additional nylon jacket is applied over the PVC insulation. This outer layer significantly enhances the wire’s resistance to abrasion, chemicals, and environmental factors, contributing to its long operational life.
Available in a wide array of colors, including black, white, red, blue, purple, green, yellow, orange, brown, and gray, our THHN/THWN wire allows for easy circuit identification and organization within complex electrical systems.
